Sticky Notes

A convenient, easy to use, fast memo app

Version: 2.3.9

Program available in: English

Program license: Free

OS:

Sticky Notes lets you organize your thoughts on virtual sticky notes. The premise of the app is very simple. You are able to put quick notes on virtual sticky notes which are presented to you in a grid format. The app is useful to those who may want a different way to view their lists and simple notes. However, it does feel as though the usefulness of the app is not much more than a niche app due to the limited amount of information that you put on sticky notes.

The presentation of the app is pretty solid, with more than just the standard yellow color available for your notes. Side scrolling through the app to view other notes is very easy and flows naturally. Notes are easy to read and fonts are very readable. Those seeking a simple way to take quick notes will find this app useful, while those looking for robust functionality to take detailed notes may want to look elsewhere due to the limits of a sticky note format.

Permissions required by Sticky Notes

  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows applications to access information about networks.
  • GET_ACCOUNTS: Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
  • INTERNET: Allows applications to open network sockets.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to read from external storage.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.
  • WAKE_LOCK: Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to write to external storage.
  • android.permission.SYSTEM_OVERLAY_WINDOW
  • com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE
  • com.google.android.providers.gsf.permission.READ_GSERVICES
  • com.phoenix.memo.permission.C2D_MESSAGE
